Adoption Process and Application
Thank you for your interest in our adoptable animals. Please read this information prior to completing the application.
As an animal rescue organization, our primary role is to be an advocate for the animals we foster. Our fosters are all unpaid volunteers who open up their homes to take care of these animals. The average length of time the animals spend with one foster is approximately 4 weeks. We rely heavily on them to tell us the behavioral and physical characteristics of the animals, so we can ensure the best fit possible in their new home. Types of information we rely on are: how well the animal interacts with people, children, other animals; temperament; eating habits and any medical issues.
Once you complete the application, it will be reviewed by a member of our adoption team. We will verify the location and type of housing. If it is a rental (apartment or house) we will contact the office to see what the pet policies are.
We rely very heavily on previous vet recommendations. If your current pets are not spayed/neutered or up to date on vaccines, you should get this done before you submit your application. If you have an appointment to do so, let us know. Even if you don’t presently have a pet, give us the name and phone number of any previous vets.
If we have questions regarding the information on your application, someone will contact you via phone or email. Within 3 to 4 days you should get a response to your application. At this time we will help arrange meeting the animal(s) you are interested in or let you know we are not able to approve your application at this time. Should the pet you submitted your application for no longer be available, we will advise if we have similar adoptable animals available. If in the meantime, you change your mind or adopt another animal, please let us know.
We look forward to meeting you.
